Hyatt Regency, Gainey Ranch: A Beachy Paradise

Nestled in the Scottsdale desert and framed against the McDowell Mountains, Hyatt Regency rests. As a 4-star hotel, they’ve earned a renowned reputation and are often compared to a Hawaii hotel in all its splendor.

From their sweeping grand foyer with floor to ceiling windows to their magnificent expanse of swimming areas including a designated ‘adults-only’ pool and a poolside bar, there’s not much to want for at this 27 acre destination.

Some other note-worthy amenities the Hyatt has are being pet-friendly, having in-room Chromecast, digital key and check in, a fitness center, and having an on-site restaurant and spa.

But again, Hyatt Regency’s most important attribute when compared to other Scottsdale hotels is its water playground.

With 10 pools, 20 water fountains, 45 waterfalls and a 30′ 3 story high-speed waterslide, the Hyatt does not disappoint when it comes to water fun for guests of all ages.

Remember how I mentioned a poolside bar? Well, fittingly dubbed H2Oasis, it’s a luxury service where you can enjoy food favorites, beverages and tropical cocktails. They also offer a convenient way to rent their beautiful cabanas, daybed and poolside chairs via iPoolside!

BUT – there’s more. Obviously I don’t expect you to only swim on this fantastical staycation!

For other recreation, the Hyatt has a 28-foot rock-climbing wall, a Putting Green for golf-enthusiasts, a Fun Zone that includes giant games of Jenga, Connect Four and Chess, and tennis at four different courts with night-time lighting and complimentary playing time for Hyatt guests. Spa Avania, fitness classes and other golf amenities are some more amazing services!

Spa Avania is the Hyatts luxurious on-site, indoor-outdoor spa. Spa Avania has personalized treatment offerings, mineral-water therapy, an amazing menu and world-renowned teas. It includes a Himalayan Salt Room and Spa Wave Bed, as well as specialized treatments that will help balance mind and spirit.

A subject we’ve yet to mention, is the Gainey Ranch Golf Club. This course is a top-rated course in the Southwest, one which is exclusively available to club members – and guests at Hyatt Regency at Gainey Ranch.

And when it’s dinner time?

On-Site dining includes exquisite Southwestern cuisine, fine cocktails, awesome Italian dishes, steaks – yes, steaks – and live music.

And when you’re stuffed and ready to be entertained?

Family-friendly and educational activities while at the Hyatt includes things like S’mores around the campfire, Native American Beadwork displays, mixology classes, and guacamole-making.

If you’re looking to further spread your wings in Scottsdale, you’ve got plenty of span.

From Gainey Ranch, you have an array of things to do at your fingertips. If you’ve been following this blog, you know Old Town Scottsdale was a significant topic of last weeks post – and the opportunity to explore it still lies within reach at this resort too!

Other activities in the area include 9 golf courses, the Desert Botanical Garden, The Pavilions Shopping at Talking Stick, the Shops at Gainey Ranch and the Scottsdale Fashion Square.
