McCormick Scottsdale: Beautiful Room Views You Can Not Get Enough Of
On A Four Night stay at the McCormick Scottsdale, I enjoyed comfortable beds, beautiful rooms and a view to die for.
While some hotels I toured had some glorious rooftop bars, pools and vantage points, I was as surprised as you may be to find that my favorite view was that of my rooms balcony at the McCormick Scottsdale.
Situated on Floor 3, towards the end of the building, I was in a Superior Room with two double beds and a private balcony/patio including table and chairs. A little note to put this into perspective: Although my time in Scottsdale was brief, it was anything but boring. Packed full of outings, touring and socializing, I had small amounts of time between appointments to go to my room. Usually left only with time at the end of each day to relax before bed.
And every night, I found myself on that balcony.
Who wouldn’t with views like that?
The Superior Rooms at the McCormick boast awesome lake views. Lit at night with the occasional palm tree decorating the property, there is nothing to want for when looking for your idyllic Scottsdale retreat.
Unlike many hotels in Scottsdale, you get a much quieter and peaceful vibe at the McCormick. While it does host a nice-sized pool at the rear of the building near the lake, there wasn’t loud children or bickering families.
The warm Arizona night breeze was my lone companion.
And I LOVED it.
Aside from the fantastic room views, the McCormick has some awesome event hosting capabilities at their property.
From their large meeting room that can easily hold 150 people, to their simple and yet chic outdoor wedding arch and venue, there are a zillion reasons this property can rank #1 in couples retreats, family celebrations and business events.
They also have onsite dining at Pinon Grill, featuring Southwestern cuisine, a lakeside relaxation station at the Diamondbacks Lounge with large windows to view the lake, and the beautiful pool with lounging stations and chairs!
If you like a peaceful hotel but don’t want to seclude yourself exclusively to your resort, the surrounding area of Scottsdale has many adventures waiting.
Talking Stick shopping, eateries and activities are close by, and a ten minute drive lands you in the infamous Old Town Scottsdale!
While you may know Old Town is a historical gold mine, you may not have heard of Scottsdales Art District, full of both local artists past and present, as well as artists around the U.S.!
More recreational activities include JoyRides AZ Scottsdale Tours, a golf-cart ride through Scottsdale with a tourguide to highlight the best historical facts, present must-dos and best all-time favorites and crowd-pleasing destinations, restaurant’s, shopping locales, hotels and art pieces around the city.
And if you’re not too tuckered-out after that(or afraid of getting dirty), have me book a slot with Stellar Adventures for you and the family! Here, you can rent ATV’s, UTV’s or hummers to take a tour through the Sonoran Desert – with a guide of course. Now, don’t let that slow you down, because these guys don’t go slow and are experts of the surrounding area – so there’s no chance of you losing yourself in the hundreds-acre desert.
This thrilling adventure takes you through beautiful landscape to reach some truly spectacular desert views. Definitely one for the bucket list.
