In this day and age, using a travel agent isn’t as common as it might have been 60 years ago. Today, many more people like to be in control of their lives and may even think that lightens their load. But do you know everything a travel agent is capable of when planning your trips? Not only can they save you money, but to help show you the value in getting a TA, I’ve compiled the top 5 reasons.

Definitely #1 one on the list, (at least if you are going through me,) is my services are 100% FREE. I don’t charge per hour, per quote, a percentage - Nothing.

How, you ask? Well in short, the travel companies I book through and am partnered with take care of paying me - so you don’t have to!

While this does mean my time is valuable, it also means you can be assured I am not hiking prices for my own benefit, but finding packages best suited for your taste and desires on your vacation.

#2: I am here to save the day.

When you have questions, there is a problem with flights, you want to add excursions or activities but don’t know all there is to do or where to find it, when you need transportation to and from the airport, when you want to island hop or have multiple destinations, when you want dining reservations, a honeymoon package, to book a destination wedding, there is an emergency, there is hours of waiting time on hold - I am here for ALL OF IT.

While waiting on hold for 3 hours to ask a 10 second question is on nobody’s list of fun-things-to-do, it is my job to make your vacation as stress free as possible and make a seamless departure and return.

I do it, so you don’t have to. And while I take care of it, you have more time to do what’s important to you.

I make the magic happen - all you have to do is enjoy it. Who wouldn’t love that?

#3: Ideas, Knowledge, Resources

When you don’t know where to start, haven’t traveled to your destination before, don’t know where to look to find the best places to stay, the absolute “musts” for dining and activities or the most kid-friendly or adult-only venues, I’ve got your back.

My job as a travel agent is to book vacations, but it is also to be educated in the travel industry, and if there is a question to be answered, I have the resources to do so.

While articles, Facebook pages and google are handy when wanting to learn more about a specific location, someone who has either been there or done the research already is a much more coveted asset to your life.

#4: Having an agent in your back pocket

When you have me for a travel agent, you can pull out your phone and send a text saying “I need flights to Denver this weekend”, '“Can you quote me a hotel for the coast for two nights next month?” or “We’re thinking of doing Disney next summer with the kids, can you get me some quotes for 7 nights?”

Is that not friggin’ dope?

I am LITERALLY at your fingertips, can book anything from a rental car for a day to a full on European Tour for the summer. The possibilities are endless.

And who doesn’t want a TA they can just shoot a text to whenever? Your phone vibrates at lunch and you say “oh it’s my travel agent.” And then your friends are not only asking, “Are you going on a vacation” but also, “you have your own travel agent?”

#5: I’ve always got content for you

Even if you aren’t actively searching for vacation destinations, my social media pages are posting content to interact, educate or just show the best of the destinations I travel to.

So there is always something to see.

It shows places maybe you’ve never been, or tips and tricks when traveling, best places to eat - everything. You’re going to entertained no matter which platform you follow, but it isn’t just Facebook and Instagram. I make TikTok videos, and write this blog.

So no matter what you favorite app is, I’m there for you!
